GDI Review
This is what my research and experience on different forums has come up with on the program called GDI.
Many of the forum participants have provided very positive and negative reviews and experiences with GDI here is some valuable information on GDI.
GDI stands for Global Domains International who owns the .WS domain extension stands for Western Samoa . What they offer is a hosting, and website package at only $10 a month.
How it works is you sign up for a unrestricted 7 day free trial after which $10 is deducted monthly from your credit card. The domain is immediately active upon sign up which is very convenient. The domain names will have the ending of .ws.
The site builder they provide is very easy to use, but then again so was every other site builder I have ever tried. There is not nearly enough templates and the customisation options are rather limited and for a real business the 10 pages they offer will not be enough. Some have even complained about the timing out factor of using the site builder now they are typing first on notepad and then pasting it into the site builder to avoid this problem.
GDI has a great back office. You have an auto-responder that you can load e-mail addresses into, the ability to purchase leads, domain forwarding, up line and down line information, great looking banners and a very cool flash movie.
You will also gain access to a members only forum where you can ask and answer questions. However, the forum is highly moderated and every post you make has to first be approved which I think is completely stupid. It was common for my posts to not appear for over 24 hours.
The income opportunity is where GDI begins to fall short. The biggest problem is that you only get one measly dollar for every person you refer to the program. GDI makes you go wide on your first level and your network only goes 5 levels deep. This is a recipe for disaster. This causes far too many holes in your down line and considering the weak compensation many people are bound to quit.
I also couldn't find any way to submit questions to the company before signing up. The only contact given was the sponsor. You only have access to the Company support system once you join.
The other thing I found out after someone registers, to cancel the free trial and not be billed, you are required to phone them before the 7 days expires. They will not accept cancellations by email. .
Unfortunately, the commissions just aren't high enough to produce results for the average network marketer.
